Who we are!

Black Diamond Psychiatry is owned and operated by Steven Lester, PMHNP-BC. He is a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. Steven grew up in Buchanan county Virginia, son of a coal miner and graduated from Garden High School. He completed his registered nursing program through Appalachian Tri-college of Nursing. He then went on to complete his undergraduate and Master of Nursing from King College in Bristol, TN. He has experience in treating substance abuse, depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, PTSD, ADHD and other mental health conditions. He combines a mixture of practical counseling, CBT, Motivational Interviewing along with medication management in a individual plan of care for every patient.
